We have a flexible brain.

Take a minute to let that sink in.

I first started thinking seriously about this topic when I married my wife. Both of us came from abusive homes. Rather than letting her past sweep her away, she took hold of it. She used the circumstances of her childhood to better understand herself and what she was capable of. She is, in every way, the strongest woman I know.

My wife went to graduate school for trauma therapy and has been helping people reshape their brains in a multitude of ways. I’d like to think that I am one of her success stories.

You can reshape it. You learn the skills you don’t currently possess. You can unshackle the fears that right now define you. You can literally become a different you. And it all starts with molding your brain into what you want, and need, it to be.

A short list of ways to reshape your brain:

  • See a counselor / mental health professional
